When starting our company, we wanted to create an authentic and genuine brand that represented our values. So naturally, we looked to our family for inspiration. As second generation Asian Americans, it is our honor and responsibility to continue their story and the cultural narrative that they've created for us. From the humble beginnings of our family's donut shop to now our newest venture of opening our boba cafe; our company's customer-centric values still remain the same just like our family taught us.

The spirit of our company comes from our family's incredible journey as Cambodian refugees in the 1980s.

The name Sojeata came from our grandma's favorite character in Buddhist storytelling.

Starting a new life in America, our parents and family understood the collective importance of hard work and family values. Many of them furthered their opportunities through entrepreneurship and higher education.
